Ursula Le Guin

Ursula Le Guinn was born in 1929 in Berkeley, California, the daughter of anthropologist A.L. Kroeber and author Theodore Kroeber. She read Romance Literature at Radcliffe College and Columbia University. In 1951 she married C.A. Le Guin and settled in Portland, Oregon, where she still lives. She has written over twenty novels, including The Dispossessed, The Lathe of Heaven and, of course, the much-loved Earthsea books.
