DANIEL DEPP

Daniel Depp’s second book, BABYLON NIGHTS, is just out, and getting great reviews: "A laugh-out-loud crime story; all that's missing is the popcorn." Kirkus - starred review. "Depp skewers the film industry with relish in his brilliantly comic follow-up to Loser's Town (2009). Sharply drawn supporting characters, including Special, an opera loving pimp, and a slew of movie stars, agents, and directors, enliven the lavish, ludicrous events at Cannes. Fans of Elmore Leonard's Get Shorty should enjoy Depp's clever complications and witty capers at least as much." Publishers Weekly - starred review.

PRECIOUS WILLIAMS

The journalist Precious Williams, the daughter of a Nigerian princess, was just three months old, in 1971, when she was privately fostered by a white couple in their late fifties. Her memoir PRECIOUS: A TRUE STORY, in which she tells her own story of growing up black in a white community in rural Sussex, her struggles with racial identity and a sense of belonging has just been published by Bloomsbury. It is attracting acres of positive press attention including The Times, Independent and Guardian. The Sunday Times review said "Williams's writing is accomplished.. pacey yet carefully spare, so that sadness and anger hover over her narrative rather than suffocate it. Such is the vividness of her characters and dialogue that, having unburdened herself, Williams now might choose - with the promise of some success - to turn her back on her day job as a journalist and find a powerful new voice by making the leap into fiction."

JAN STRADLING

THE LOST TREASURE by Jan Stradling is a delightful tale of a good pirate (Ruby) and a bad pirate (Hamish).

When Pirate Jack can’t find his treasure and sends a message in a bottle for help, both Ruby and Hamish respond instantly. However, their reasons are very different reasons. Ruby loves helping people and as for Hamish, "Arrrrrr! Treasure" he roared. "I love treasure!"

What will happen when all three pirates meet on the island?

THE LOST TREASURE is published by Walker Books in Australia as part of their wonderful Walker Stories series, designed to bridge the gap for children between picture and chapter books.
