David Riding
David began his career in publishing with Penguin Books in 1996 before moving across into literary management. He is incredibly keen on finding fresh talent and always willing to work hard to help new writers build their proposals carefully and sell their book idea to the right publisher. With a strong track record in helping people translate their area of expertise or experience, into compelling and popular books; David’s main interests are memoir, business, sports, health, true-crime, history, travel/adventure writing, serious undercover journalism and pop culture.
David will take on any project as long as there's a personal connection with the book and he sees potential in the author. No non-fiction topic is too controversial or off-the-wall.
David prefers e-mailed submissions clearly marked Website Query in the subject bar and containing a short pitch about the book idea and a paragraph about yourself. David will respond as soon as possible to any query.
